15-Ton Forged Cylinder with 0.1 mm Ultra-Precision Machining

A 15-ton 34CrNiMo6 forged cylinder has been successfully completed with precision machining and will soon be shipped to Turkey.

Material & Manufacturing Process

This product is manufactured from high-strength alloy steel 34CrNiMo6. Subject to precision forging and N+QT heat treatment, it delivers outstanding strength and fatigue resistance, making it suitable for heavy-load and high-stress working conditions.

Precision Machining Challenges

The customer has extremely strict requirements for dimensional accuracy, with the final machining tolerance required to be controlled within 0.1 mm. During the machining process, the cutting allowance must be precisely controlled, as even a slight over-cut could directly result in the entire component being scrapped. This presents significant challenges to machining stability, equipment accuracy, and operator expertise.

Quality Control & Inspection

On-site quality inspectors carry out item-by-item precise measurement and recheck of critical dimensions. High-precision measuring tools are adopted to strictly inspect internal & external dimensions as well as key fitting surfaces, so as to guarantee all measured data fully comply with drawing specifications.

After precision machining and multiple inspection procedures, all critical dimensions were verified to meet the requirements, fully demonstrating our manufacturing capabilities in high-precision machining and quality control.
