Metallurgical Equipment Field Forged Shaft

Application scenarios: Rolling mill transmission shafts, rolls, continuous caster roll shafts, ladle turret trunnions of steelmaking converters, etc.

Working condition characteristics: Subject to extremely high torque, impact loads, and alternating stress. The working environment is mostly high-temperature (close to 1000°C during steel rolling) and dusty.

Performance Requirements

42CrMo4: Excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, good hardenability, high strength after quenching and tempering (tensile strength ≥1000MPa), and good impact toughness. Suitable for core load-bearing components such as rolling mill transmission shafts.
35CrMo: Slightly lower strength than 42CrMo but with better toughness. Suitable for continuous caster roll shafts that bear impact loads.
20CrMnTi (carburized): High surface hardness (HRC58-62) and good core toughness. Used in parts such as roll journals requiring wear resistance and impact resistance.
