Metallurgical Equipment Field Forged Shaft

Application scenarios: Rolling mill transmission shafts, rolls, continuous caster roll shafts, ladle turret trunnions of steelmaking converters, etc.

Working condition characteristics: Subject to extremely high torque, impact loads, and alternating stress. The working environment is mostly high-temperature (close to 1000°C during steel rolling) and dusty.

Performance Requirements
Material Heat Treatment Key Characteristics Typical Applications
42CrMo4 Quenching and Tempering Excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, good hardenability, high strength (tensile strength ≥1000MPa), good impact toughness Core load-bearing components (e.g., rolling mill transmission shafts)
35CrMo Quenching and Tempering Slightly lower strength than 42CrMo, better toughness Components bearing impact loads (e.g., continuous caster roll shafts)
20CrMnTi Carburizing High surface hardness (HRC 58-62), good core toughness Parts requiring wear and impact resistance (e.g., roll journals)
