Large S325 ring forging with double-step machining for an Indian project

Recently, the S325 large ring forgings produced by our company for an Indian project are undergoing double-step machining orderly.

After ring rolling, the ring forging weighs approximately 9 tons. According to the customer’s drawing requirements, the product is to be machined into a double-step structure, which places high demands on dimensional accuracy, coaxiality, and surface quality.

Precision turning is carried out on the inner and outer diameters, end faces and double-step sections during machining. Full-process dimensional inspection is implemented to ensure the stability and consistency of machining quality. As machining allowances are gradually removed, the final weight of the product will be controlled within 6 tons.

This batch of S325 ring forgings will be progressively completed with double-step machining and then proceed to final inspection and preparation for shipment.
