Recently, Maiterio completed the pre-shipment preparations for a batch of large forgings destined for India. The shipment includes a 6-meter-OD S325 large ring forging and four forged plates that were flame-cut according to the customer's requirements.
6-Meter Large Ring Forging: 8-Segment Delivery
For a large ring forging with an outer diameter of 6 meters, transportation and delivery require careful consideration of product dimensions, transportation conditions, and the customer's subsequent assembly requirements.

According to the Indian customer's specifications, Maiterio divided the large ring into eight forged segments for delivery. During the cutting process, we will determine cutting positions reasonably with reference to the subsequent assembly plan, and reserve sufficient machining and welding allowances to facilitate the customer’s later welding and assembly work.
Four Forged Plates:Flame-Cut to Customer Specifications
In addition to the large ring forging, this shipment includes four forged plates that were flame-cut according to the customer's requirements.

Flame cutting is commonly used for large forgings to separate material according to specified dimensions and delivery requirements. The cutting plan must account for the product's dimensions, cutting positions, and the allowances required for subsequent machining.
All four forged plates were flame-cut as specified, preparing them for subsequent transportation and processing.
TÜV Third-Party Inspection Before Shipment
Before shipment, TÜV conducted an on-site third-party inspection. The inspection activities were arranged according to the customer's requirements, providing a basis for product acceptance and supporting the delivery process.
