5A06 AL alloy forgings

5A06 AL alloy forgings

Composition characteristics: Magnesium is the main alloying element (Mg content is relatively high, typically 5.8–6.8%), with manganese (Mn) as the auxiliary strengthening element. It is a non-heat-treatable aluminum alloy, and strength is mainly achieved through solid solution strengthening and work hardening. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, and strong resistance to seawater and low-temperature environments.
Application area: Marine engineering, shipbuilding, pressure vessels, aerospace structures, cryogenic equipment, transportation equipment, and heavy machinery components.
