2Cr13 stainless steel forgings

2Cr13 stainless steel forgings

Ring forgings: Widely used in industrial equipment, energy, petrochemical, and mechanical applications (such as valve rings, pump components, sealing rings, and structural rings), where good strength, wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance are required. Suitable for applications involving moisture, mild corrosive media, and continuous mechanical loading conditions.

Open die forgings: Used in the manufacture of high-strength mechanical components, such as shafts, valve bodies, pump parts, and pressure-bearing components in the petroleum, chemical, and general machinery industries. After heat treatment, 2Cr13 exhibits good strength, hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for working environments requiring a balance between mechanical performance and corrosion resistance.

Performance Requirements
Property Category Description
Corrosion Resistance Good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments. Performs well in atmospheric conditions, fresh water, steam, and light chemical media. Not recommended for highly corrosive chloride environments compared with austenitic stainless steels.
High-Temperature Performance Maintains stable mechanical properties at moderate temperatures. Suitable for applications below approximately 400°C, while prolonged exposure to higher temperatures may reduce strength and corrosion resistance due to microstructural changes.
Mechanical Properties Achieves high strength and hardness through quenching and tempering heat treatment. Provides a good balance of strength, hardness, toughness, and wear resistance. Widely used in applications requiring reliable mechanical performance and moderate corrosion resistance.
